How to Post Clips to Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts From One Place
Connect Instagram and YouTube once, then publish or schedule each vertical clip with its caption, hashtags and title already written. Network limits, account rules and a weekly routine.
To post a clip to Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts from one place, open the clip in Sentarys, choose Post, select your connected Instagram and YouTube accounts, review the caption, hashtags and YouTube title, then pick Publish now or Schedule. Both networks receive the same finished vertical video. Publishing uses no credits.
1. Connect your accounts once
Go to Settings → Social accounts and connect Instagram and YouTube. Instagram publishes Reels only on Business or Creator accounts, so switch a personal profile in the Instagram app first. YouTube asks you to pick the channel. You can connect several accounts per network and choose which ones receive each clip.
2. Open a finished clip and choose Post
Every clip comes with a caption, hashtags and a title drafted from what is said in it. Edit the first line so it works without sound: a question, a number or the moment the story turns. Keep the hashtags specific to the topic. On YouTube, the title is what people read in search and in the Shorts shelf, so name the subject plainly.
3. Publish now or schedule the week
Publish now sends the clip to every selected account. Schedule lets you pick a date and time up to 60 days ahead, so one session can fill a week of Reels and Shorts. When the post is live, the clip shows a link to it. If a network rejects a post, the reason appears on the clip with a button to try again.
What does each network accept?
| Network | Length | Text | Account |
|---|---|---|---|
| Instagram Reels | 3 seconds to 15 minutes | Caption up to 2,200 characters, at most 30 hashtags | Business or Creator |
| YouTube Shorts | Vertical, up to 3 minutes | Title up to 100 characters, description up to 5,000 | Any channel |
Sentarys fits the caption to each limit for you. When the text is too long, it keeps the hashtags and shortens the caption.
A weekly routine that holds up
Record one long video, a podcast episode or a stream. Let Sentarys cut the clips, keep the five that tell a complete story, and schedule one per day at the hour your audience is online. Post the same clip on both networks to reach both audiences with one edit. Check views after 48 hours and make more clips like the ones that held attention.
